Ottawa, ON, November 4, 2009 — Sometimes, it can be really difficult to find what you are looking for. It's frustrating to feel like you are constantly searching for a needle in a haystack. As Canada's national science library, NRC-CISTI wants to help you make it easier to find what you are looking for.

When you search NRC-CISTI's Discover or NPArC, you'll notice that there is a small green and blue Find@CISTI button that appears – NRC-CISTI is working to make this link available on more and more popular research tools, including Google Scholar, Worldcat databases, and other sources. This button provides you with direct links from bibliographic citations in selected databases to full-text articles licensed or purchased by CISTI as well as to other other methods of obtaining the full-text article.
Where possible, these links will appear automatically in popular internet search databases (for NRC staff), or will be selectable in client preferences from those search sites. Furthermore, we are working to make the connections from these search engines to more appropriate full-text content, and other information services better, with fewer dead-ends.
